Day 1 :LONDON - AMSTERDAM
A warm welcome from the Tour Director on the drive through
Kent to Dover. Here see the White Cliffs before boarding the
ferry for the short Channel crossing to Calais in France.
Then drive through Belgium’s Flanders fields and into
Holland, renowned for windmills. Soon arrive in friendly
Amsterdam and see Dam Square and the Mint Tower. Later,
enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2 :AMSTERDAM - RHINELAND
Cross into Germany and visit Cologne with its magnificent
cathedral. Later drive to Boppard and take a scenic Rhine
cruise past terraced vineyards and towering castles. Finally
arrive at your Rhineland hotel.

Day 3 :RHINELAND - MUNICH - INNSBRUCK
Today drive on to fun-loving Munich in Bavaria to see the
Olympic Stadium, Glockenspiel and Hofbräuhaus. Then continue
along the Inn Valley and into the Austrian Tyrol to reach
the picturesque town of Innsbruck with views of the
ski-jump, and see the Golden Roof.

Day 4 :INNSBRUCK - VENICE
This morning take the Brenner Pass and enjoy an exhilarating
drive through the Alps to Italy. Continue to the romantic
city of Venice and take an included canal cruise by private
boat to St. Mark's Square. Here see St. Mark's Basilica, the
Doge's Palace and visit a traditional glass-blowing workshop
before free time to perhaps take a gondola serenade!

Day 5 :VENICE - ROME (2 nights)
This morning drive across the Veneto plain via Bologna and
over the Apennine Mountains before arriving in Tuscany. Then
through Umbria and Lazio to the cradle of the Roman - the
Eternal City that is Rome.Tonight maybe enjoy a tour of the
beautiful squares and fountains of this ancient city and
taste some Roman cuisine in an outdoor restaurant.

Day 6 :ROME SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
After breakfast there's a whole day for in depth
exploration. The sightseeing tour features St. Peter's
Basilica and views of the Forum and mighty Colosseum where
gladiatorial combat took place watched by thousands of
Romans and the Imperial family. There's free time later to
marvel at the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museums and
perhaps take a trip to Tivoli Gardens to see the incredible
fountains.

Day 7 :ROME - FLORENCE
Leave Rome and drive past the rolling hills of Umbria before
reaching beautiful Tuscany and it's capital, the Renaissance
city of Florence. Here enjoy spectacular views of the city
from Piazzale Michelangelo before having time to visit
Piazza Signoria, the Duomo and Giotto's Bell Tower, or to
shop for high quality leather goods and 18-carat gold
jewellery before continuing to the hotel.

Day 8 :FLORENCE - LAKE LUCERNE (2 nights)
First cross through the Apennines to the great northern
plain and pass by the city of Milan. Then head north to the
Swiss border, passing stunning Lake Como, before taking the
scenic Gotthard route to beautiful Lake Lucerne which is
known as the Lake of the Four Forest Cantons and lies at the
heart of central Switzerland.

Day 9 :LAKE LUCERNE ORIENTATION AND AT LEISURE
This morning orientation includes the poignant Lion
Monument, which commemorates the bravery of the Swiss Guards
who tried to defend the Palace of the Tuileries for Louis
XVI during the French Revolution, the wooden Chapel Bridge
and the onion domed Jesuit Church. Then you have time to
perhaps ascend a nearby mountain peak and later this
afternoon maybe shop for delicious chocolates and
precision-made timepieces.

Day 10 :LAKE LUCERNE - PARIS (2 nights)
Cross into France at Basel and skirt the Vosges Mountains
before through the great wine region of Burgundy and the
rich farming land around Auxerre before arriving in the
elegant and exciting city of Paris! Tonight maybe enjoy an
introduction to this dazzling city by night as you admire
the unique illuminations?

Day 11 :PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
This morning your guided sightseeing tour introduces you to
this exquisitely planned city with views of the Champs
Élysées , Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe , Eiffel
Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral on the City island on the
River Seine. Later there is time to maybe visit the vast
Louvre Museum or drive outside of Paris to visit the Palace
of Versailles, the extravagant creation of Louis XIV,
renowned for the exceptionally beautiful Hall of Mirrors,
and surrounded by magnificent and beauti fully planned
gardens. Tonight , on the last evening of your tour, maybe
enjoy a delicious dinner in a cosy Parisian bistro or take
the chance to sample one of the famous cabaret shows where
the dancing of the ‘can – can’ is always featured!

Day 12 :PARIS - LONDON
Travel across the First World War battlefields of the Somme
to Calais to board the ferry which crosses the Channel to
Dover. Then a short drive brings you to London where the
tour comes to an end and it is time to bid farewell to your
Tour Director and new found friends.
